WB Weatherford Barn Builders Independent Parker County Directory

Coverage

Service areas: Parker County, TX

This directory covers Weatherford first (ZIPs 76085, 76086, 76087, 76088) and the Parker County communities the listed builders name on their own websites. Four builders are based in or beside the county (Weatherford, Springtown, Mineral Wells); five serve it from Fort Worth, Burleson and Decatur and say so on a dedicated Weatherford or Parker County page. The HQ tag on every listing tells you which is which.

Why the exact address matters more here than in most trades

Parker County does not issue building permits and has no zoning in its unincorporated areas; what it regulates is on-site sewage, floodplain development, 911 addressing and driveway culverts (Permitting 817-598-6175, 1114 Santa Fe Drive, Weatherford). Inside a city, that city's rules apply: Weatherford permits accessory structures over 200 square feet; Willow Park's code requires a permit for any structure valued over $500. A tract in an extraterritorial jurisdiction sits in between, and state law limits what a city can regulate there. Confirm the jurisdiction by exact address before you lock a design.

Ground conditions by area

Parker County lies in the Western Cross Timbers. The county Master Gardeners describe soils that are sandy in places, clay in others, shallow and rocky elsewhere, and pure caliche in some. Historic survey text for Weatherford describes heavy Grand Prairie soils and stony limestone in the eastern county, sandy post-oak soils in the southwest, and loamy and sandy soils over sandstone or clay around the city itself. A pad that works in Aledo clay is not the pad that works on a caliche shelf west of town. Ask every builder how they handle your ground, not "Parker County ground."

We publish additional city pages only when we have distinct, checked local information for them. Weatherford is the only city with a dedicated guide today, because that is where the evidence is.
